Sigh... I can't sleep. And I'm having a headache. These few days, I've been thinking about this problem at work. I'm not a perfectionist. I can definitely deal with decently completed jobs and tasks. I just can't stand when certain people accused me for what I didn't do. I'm feeling under-appreciated.... I hope it isn't time for me to change my perspective just yet. I like my colleagues, well at least most of em. If it's meant to be, then it's meant to be...

I’ve been lazying around these days. Too lazy to updatemy blog. Couldn’t be bothered to change the layout as well. However, I feel socalled upon to write this post as people were raging like hell about this NurAmalina issue. Many went nuts and cursed her for being ‘inappropriate’. She wasaccused of being influenced by the western cultures to dress ‘inappropriately’.Some were even worse to throw remarks at her mum for not ‘teaching’ her how tobehave like a Muslim. There’s another picture of her, being ‘inappropriately’close to a white guy. In that picture, proximity was the issue. Some bloggersconfidently stated that they’re in a relationship. Later on, she denied it inan interview conducted by a blogger through Skype. She clearly stated that theguy is her best friend, saying that there are other guys in other picturesthough they aren’t exposed in the ‘photo leakage’ incident.

I strongly disagree with some comments in certain blogs,condemning her to be dressing like that. For me, I admit that her dress wasindeed sexy than what the Malays would commonly wear. But here’s my two cents,there are millions (and this is not an exaggeration) of Malay girls walkingaround in KL or JB wearing something even worse - so why did they (referring tothose who condemning her) curse her when they didn’t even see her for real?They’ve seen the real stuffs with their two eyes in shopping malls here buthave they spoken of the same manner, cursing and swearing towards the ones infront of em? In other case, some people were mad at her and argued their pointsreligiously. I only agreed to a few of them. Most were blabbering and cursing ‘ina religious manner’ of which I found stupid. Come on, don’t act like you’re agood Muslim when you clearly talked about others sin in the open!! You saidthis and that as if you’re giving advice - are you really that stupid? Thepoorly accused girl wouldn’t have known about your facebook status and howwould you call that as ‘giving advice’? Bastards....

Secondly, I really hate those people who were directingcomments and remarks about the photo of her and the guy friend. Oh come onpeople! U’ve seen billions of such pictures in your newspaper and magazines ofthose artists you worship!!!!!! Is it okay when Maya Karin did that bed scenewith Aaron Aziz? Or maybe Lisa Surihani with the same guy, in the same movie?Is it? Yet, many have cried watching Ombak Rindu. But later on, some of thosecry babies cursed Nur Amalina for that ‘friendly’ photo. For god’s sake, shestill had her clothes on!!! It’s not like Maya Karin who only wear a freakinbatik!!!! I really believe that those who gladly cursed her for that particularphoto are morons. “Kuman seberang laut ko nampak ek, haaaa gajah sebesar2 tidakkat depan mate ko boley x nampak plak!”

Sigh.... I am a proud Malay. In fact, I believe that I ama pro-Malay. However, I am grateful that I am unbiased and fairly wise most ofthe time. I felt bad for what some Malays did and said about Nur Amalina. Badbecause she had to bear with negative exposure caused by her own people!! They should have act appropriately upon the issue (if it's really an issue at all). There are so many better ways to give advice and cursing is definitely not one of them. SorryAmalina, but just suck it up yeah. Those that don’t kill you, make youstronger...

Happynew year. I hope we all have achieved our last year targets and accomplishedwhatever missions we had set previously. For those who didn’t, well I wish uguys all the best in finding out the reasons for the better. 2011 had been agood year for me. I learnt a lot of things, gained vast experience and made afew acquaintances. Now, I’m gearing up for what god has in store for me for2012. It better be good. LOL

As for my new year resolution, I figure I would want to be a better person. Itsounds simple yet it depends on how I define ‘better’. I hope I can do betterin everything I’m going to do. I also hope that I can be a better friend andteacher. Last but not least, I’m going to get married this year and I hope I’lldo the best I can since day 1. I want to be the right person for her. Sigh... I'm in no mood in updating my blog lately... I have a lot to share, guess I just don't feel like it. Maybe it's bcos of my template. I think something ought to be changed. Plus Breaking Dawn part 1 doesn't really mesmerize me... Shouldn't be split into two parts. True it's sweet, romantic and what not... Too little details though. I think the producer wanted to capture the inner conflicts of Bella being pregnant, Edward for letting Bella being pregnant and Jacob confused about Bella being pregnant (and concern of course). However, the producer failed... At least personally I think he did. Anyway, the final part should be awesome. It better be. LOL

Second trip down the memory lane...

The last trip down the memory lane was surprisingly great.It was short, yet very meaningful. I guess that’s why it’s good to appreciatethings and people around u - it’ll make u at ease and in peace. Praise the Almighty lord for blessing me withall these sweet things that happened to me. Today, my fiancée texted me abouthow she couldn’t recall of me being sweet, dropping by when she was workingjust to check up on her. Sigh.... Although she did recall something else and Ididn’t. ROFL. Anyway, before I go rambling about her, I’m so not obsessed withher that I would dedicate this whole blog about her, like many other peoplethat I know of. LOL.

I remembered clearly about this particular incident when oneday she asked me why I love her. I choked. Speechless. The question had methinking for a while. I really thought that it was one of those trickyquestions like it doesn’t matter how one’s going to answer, the result wouldalways seem to reflect how one isn’t going to be a great partner! I couldn’tsay she was pretty (not because she’s not) but then she might say “oh so u’reinto physical attraction!”. I couldn’t say she’s understanding as well cos we didhave series and series of arguments. Damn!!!

Then I told her, I’m sorry but really I can’t think of areason... “I don’t have a reason why I love you. I’m sorry. But really, I don’tthink I need a reason to love you. And sorry if this isn’t the answer you wannahear from me.” And I can’t remember how she reacted to that actually. Now thatI think of it, I guess that should be the best answer one could ever give.Corny as one might say but who cares, at least I know I passed the test (ifthere was one LOL) :DDDDD

All my life, I always love to take a nice walk down the goodold memory lane now and then. Regardless what others said about that, for mereminiscing is just one way for me to learn from the past and plan my future.Back when I was in NZ with my dearest fiancée, we did a lot of great thingstogether that we really miss these days. Damn if I were to do those years all overagain, I would still do the same exact things!

I still remember how she would love to cook and try new things based on therecipes she read online. She’d ring me sometimes before she started. Some othertimes, she just called me when she’s done. And even right at this very moment,I’m smiling just because I remember she’d love to have me tasting them andgiving her my opinion. Oh one thing I learnt, I can’t say no to that. Even ifmy stomach were to explode from the lunch I had just a minute before that, I’dstill have to drop by her place and share my view on them. LOL

“Money can’t buy happiness” but it definitely sweetens somebitter moments! I still remember when Fatin worked so hard just to make sureshe can continue shopping. There was a part of me hating to see the hardshipshe had to go through but I kept it inside. All for one reason; to let herlearn the hard lesson. She took the highway of course - busting her arse off inFoodtown by serving others, in sickness and in health! LOL. But hey, everycloud has a silver lining. I always tried to visit her there, hoping mypresence could actually motivate her in some ways. Pffffft! Who am I kidding,this ain’t fairy tail y’all! LOL. Sometimes when she worked extra hours, I’djust go there and waited for her to finish so that we can go have a nice mealsomewhere. As corny as this may sound, I had always went to her lane (she’s acashier of course) despite how long the queue was just so I could ask her, “how’severything going for u?” or “hey, u alright there? Wanna go out forlunch/dinner?”.

Of course, these are just some recollection from my shortvisit down the memory lane. It was short because I can’t sleep tonight (andtotally not because I just read her blog and I’m trying to be sweet LOL).

Long Hiatus

Holiday is over now.. It was well worth it. I had always wanted to spend my holiday lazying around, watching movies, napping and the list goes on and I DID!!!! Damn it was awesome. Last holiday, I tried to be offline for a week (like no fb-ing at all) and to my disbelief, I managed to do it. It was a struggle at first but after that week, I felt great. Not bcos of the temporary disconnected to the world LOL but for the best pampering time ever! Otherwise my holiday would have been spent so much going online, farming (farmville), fighting (mafia wars) etc. sigh, yes i admit it. i just love this fb games...

So after I successfully managed to be offline for the first time, I promised myself a couple weeks ago to spend this holiday being offline AGAIN! And I did it!!!! Hell yeah! What a strong determination! Those who know me wouldn't believe this thing happened. Yes, it really did. And it was awesome! "It's sooooo awesome I'm gonna die!" LOL. Yes, I watched Despicable Me along with some other movies. Agnes is sooooooooooooooo cute I'm gonna die! LMAO :DDD

For me, the best day of the year has gotta be the teacher's day!! I missed the last year's bcos I had to undergo a surgery... And this year, I managed to have my first celebration being a teacher. It was so tiring because I had to organize and supervise it along with my team of MPP (students leaders council). Even though there were a few critiques regarding some technicalities, I would still hold my head up high and be proud of what the team had accomplished. Kudos to those who had put their best efforts in making the event a success.

As for me, I certainly felt over the moon when being asked for pictures with the kiddos. It felt greater when there were some gifts from em. But above it all, it felt really nice to be appreciated for all the efforts done as a teacher. The feeling was rather complicated. Happy, motivated, surprised, grateful and a few others. That day, I also got a txt from my mum saying how proud she was having 3 kids as teachers. N i was speechless, not bcos of the txt but bcos of the memory i had, having her as the best teacher in my life.

To all the teachers out there, happy teacher's day. Be proud of what we're doing. Cos it's the most noble thing one can do for the people =)

I’m a person who cares about my appearance. Very much actually LOL. These days, ever since I started playing badminton with my mates, I always thought I could shed a few pounds. *sigh* I wonder why it ain’t work the way I thought it would.. Just now I was checking out my mates on FB and to my disbelief, I was shocked to see most of em got bigger! And pregnant is out of topic since they’re all guys ROFL. I swear they’re like really huge! I wouldn’t even believe how someone who’s plus size type became some ‘OB’ (i’m self-conscious but not a bitch LOL). Thank God I haven’t turned out to be so monstrous. Yet, I’m still wondering why are they looked so happy and not a bit of sign of worry on their faces! Then I remember this friend of mine who was once slender and good-looking told me that the plus size shows u’re having a great life. And surely I asked why. He said, imagine u’re having good pay, therefore u could afford good meals. Plus u have nothin to worry about cos the cash keeps comin in n that means less stress. And I was like errr...

My weekend was over!!! I consider it as ‘well-spent’. I was at UTM for the whole weekend, managing The Hobbits (SMKTSNI rugby team). My colleagues and I had to manage 3 teams (we’re the school with the most teams participated). I swear to God it was really tiring. The first day we had some injuries including one broken arm, yikes. Poor boy didn’t land properly, if only he had listened well during all those training sessions. At the end of the tournament, we only managed to be the winner for shield stage (U-16) and the runner-up winner for bowl stage (U-14). Well done Hobbits! There’s always space for improvement in the sense of tactical, physical and mental.

It's almost a week and yet I'm enjoying this holiday to the fullest... Lazying around, surfing, farming (farmville lol), having my meals in front of telly, outings n a few others in my list - the list of not so productive activities. sigh... And holiday is coming to an end... I have this project in mind. It was a long planned project (or more likely to be called long-delayed project lol). The project wouldn't take that long, it should be done in a day or less. But I know it will take me hours in front of lappy and it involves a lot of clicking rofl. well, let's see if I have the courage to start on the project. If I did, we'll see something over the net pretty soon :D

I was filling my time before I went to bed last nite... I was reading other people’s FB status and I stumbled across this friend of mine posting a link about an article in a magazine. It was about some of the most famous hackers who got caught doin what they do best LOL. And it’s a fuckin shock to me! The most famous case was this guy whose name I shall not mention (I’m afraid he might search for his name and hack my blog or shit). Damn that guy is awesome. Not for what he did but for the talent n knowledge he got..

Apparently that guy was caught after hacking FBI files, revealing wiretap details for mobsters, foreign politicians, the American Civil Liberties Union and a lot more. He and some hacker friends also took over the phone lines for an L.A. radio station, ensuring they were the winning caller in contests, netting themselves two Porsche sports cars, a couple Hawaiian vacations, and $20,000 in cash. Can u imagine??? 2 Porsche cars? Plus it wasn’t only those fuckin awesome cars but also a lot more! Damn!!! I know about hackers but I thought it was only in the movies where they could easily do those kinds of stunts. Guess many of us aren’t aware of their capabilities. They made credit card fraud sounds easy as ordering pizza online. Dang....

Last nite, Harimau Malaya truly deserved kudos for their great game. Even though they lost the game but they won the tournament based on the previous leg. Despite the defeat, the only goal by Harimau Malaya was indeed a well-played tactic combined with great mutual understanding among the players. The through ball was beautiful. Enough said. Lol. Even though there was still some disturbance caused by some irresponsible fans who purposely used laser to distract Malaysian goalkeeper, the game was continued without any hesitation. And that’s how it’s supposed to be.

I was so bored this weekend (though I'm supposed to continue with the marking task lol). Therefore, I started reading the Yahoo!News. I was surprised to read this article on this woman who was sued for illegally shared 24 songs on p2p sites (for those who don't know what is p2p, it's peer-to-peer like Bearshare, Limewire etc). She was charged over 1.5 million USD!!!!! This breaks down to $62,500 per song. It's a heavy penalty considering the 24 tunes would only cost approximately $24 on iTunes!!!! OMFG!!!! For this, I'm warning u guys here NOT to download songs and share em like they are yours ;-)

But I really love this part where in each episode, there’s gonna be a voice over (which is supposed to be issues pondered by Carrie). And I realized a few shows nowadays have applied the same concept; Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy (just to name a few). I simply love it in the sense that it’s very realistic. At times, when u simply live your life u may stumble on something and u’ll reflect on your life. Whether your life has been good, your boss like u, your pay is somewhat decent and what not. Very realistic. Well at least, there’s one realistic part in the whole series. LOL.

I hate Malaysian Streamyx speed. I swear I really do! For 100 bucks, all I get is just 1mbps (megabits per second for those who aren't that savvy). In many other countries like USA, Hong Kong, South Korea and others (just to name a few), for such amount of money (converting value applied here), one can get AT LEAST 10mbps!!! That's like 10 times faster!!!!!! Not that I'm not grateful, as a customer I'll be more than content if Streamyx speed is at least twice as fast as it already is now for the same monthly bill. I was reading all these Yahoo! News till I was startled after reading this article about how it is a waste to buy all these branded sunglasses. Cos despite it's range of prices and brands, they are all actually made by the same company!! Italian manufacturer, Luxottica is one of the biggest consumer companies that consumers have never heard of. This post is a tribute to my cat Garfield. I wrote bout her once not too long ago. A couple hours ago, I was having an early dinner when suddenly I remembered that my cat Garfield had been quiet than usual. Given her current illness, she always made some noises (I guess that’s how she coped with the illness). I already sent her to the vet twice. She was on constant medication. I stopped my dinner just to find her lying unmoved. Stiff. I couldn’t help but calling all my family members for all of us love the cat since it had been around at least for 10 great years. My sis cried on the phone right at the moment I called her...

Damn I couldn’t believe she’s gone now... When I left abroad for study, she wasn’t as huge n n chunky. It was a year ago when she started getting more n more like the Garfield in the show. Back then I wasn’t so emotionally attached to the cat. She was my sister pet really before becoming the whole family craze. In fact I have to admit that she wasn’t my favourite cat until recently. I had the knee surgery like a couple months ago n ever since i got back to my parents’ place, she had been closer to me than anybody else. She was so close to me that I woke up sometimes to see her sleeping close to my feet. I was kinda worried when she slept close to me, thinking that she could carry some germs or microorganisms which may cause infection to my surgery wound. I had to chase her away a few times. But I guess she never took it to heart. She still came to my room in between meals and slept on my bed until a couple weeks ago when she fell sick.

The vet told us that she got some virus infection hence the vet had to give a couple injections. Everyday, we patiently forced her to take the medicine. A few days ago she looked worse. Then we took her to the vet again only to discover that the virus infection had long gone. However, the infection had taken its toll, causing her to have asthma. The vet told us that she had 50-50 chances to live due to her age. But we decided not to take the chance to end the miserable battle cos we would wanna see her up n running again.

And now, she’s gone. For real... No one’s gonna wake me up from sleep by making that purring noise anymore... No one... Damn I’m gonna miss u Garfield. You’ll be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace.

One of Portland Timbers players, Alex Nimo was so pissed off during a match when several of the Baltimore players decided to suddenly be injured all at once while they just so happened to have a slim 1-0 lead to protect. My six days in hospital

The surgery was 7 hours. Did u notice
that the scar looks like '7'.

Day 1

I was warded a day before the surgery. This is a normal procedure so that they could check my blood pressure and all those necessary matters before they proceed with the surgery.

Day 2

The surgery went for 7 hours! That’s 4 hours later than the docs had anticipated. The reason was there was a fracture when the docs were trying to plant the graft into my bone. During the surgery, I accidentally became conscious of the current situation a few times which forced the anaesthetist to put me into sleeps over n over.

Day 3

I was sedated by the anaesthetist. I personally requested this the day before the surgery. I told the docs, “Look guys, since I’m one of worthy customers, i have a request. N that is to be
sedated till the second day of the surgery.”

Day 4

I was sick of the epidural (the sedative/anaesthetic) which made me lying still on the bed. In case some of u are wondering how the hell did I do the ‘natural business’, well there was a urine catheter. N for those who dunno what that is, it’s a thin tube inserted into the vital organ to take out the urine.

Day 5

The urine catheter was removed from the organ. N trust me when I say this, it was seriously a fuckin battle for life everytime I had to pee!!!!!! It’s like the thing is coming off any sec!!!

Day 6

After a brief check up by the docs, I was discharged. No sign of infections to the knee. No fever or flu. Consequently, I was assigned some physio exercise to buff up the thigh muscle. Bubbye hospital. Home sweet home ^.^

2. You carry your handphone around but leave your tv at home.

3.You use your tv just for one sole purpose but you always use your handphone for many other functions.

4. You always update your handphone with latest ringtones, wallpaper and software but you do nothing like that with your tv.

5. When your handphone is broken, you quickly send it for repair but you always knock your tv when the display is blurry and such.

Reconstructive Surgery

The time has come... Yesterday I went for a long discussion with the specialist. We had decided on the date of the surgery, 26th of April 2010. It's just 2 weeks away. It's called ACL Knee Surgery. Even though it's not considered a major surgery, I'm freaking out still, knowing what are the docs gonna do to my knee. Seriously, this is a brief idea of what they gonna do to me:

The patellar tendon connects the patella (kneecap) to the tibia (shin). The graft is taken from the injured knee. The middle third of the tendon is used, with bone fragments removed on each end. The graft is then threaded through holes drilled in the tibia and femur, and finally screwed into place. (taken from wikipedia)

No shit, it sounds really simple eh? 4 sentences! Damn it! Lemme just make it simpler, they gonna take a string of my tendon, functioning as a thread to bind the two bones (shin and thigh) together!

N in case some of u do not know what is shin or thigh bone, this is the x-ray picture when the surgery is done (again taken from wiki).

Last night was my first night in my new place in JB. Honestly, this place is more than just decent. Way better than what I have in mind. It's fully furnished with bed, washing machine, fridge and all those necessities to be living so to speak LOL. On top of that, these lovely housemates of mine got ourselves Streamyx as well as Astro to ensure our bachelor lives are on the moves :D Needless to say, it’s so close to my new workplace, SMK Tun Syed Nasir Ismail. Now that’s just the cherry on top. I wish I’ll live well from now onwards. Bachelor FTW =)

Regardless what the matter is, one has to analyze the outcome, both pros & cons before make a final decision. Sometimes, some may prefer to just follow their hearts & not their minds – intuition so to speak. Well if there’s a thing I can say about that, I prefer to have a mixture of both, the intuition as well as the logical sense in deciding on certain matters in my life. For whatever the case might be, I just hope that I made the right decision. Even if it’s the wrong one, I’ll just have to own up to it and fix it right away before it gets in my way. Damn it!! I just hope that everything’s right cos I just hate to do the fixing part – it feels like my heart is popping out from the chest any minute....

First Day In School

The first day at school is surely awaited by many kids around the world. Most will be so excited seeing their mates, catching up on holiday and vacation. On the other hand, some may hate the first day especially when they have no new uniforms, bag or even shoes. A change in class may also be one of the other reasons. As for today, some of my mates will be so busy preparing to be new teachers in respected school. Butterflies in the stomach, cold sweat etc. LOL. Me? I woke up in the afternoon, preparing my lunch in the kitchen before headed off in front of telly to catch up on MTV. LMAO.

OMG!!! Today I just found out that my ex-skoolmate was married a few months ago! Also, another friend of mine got engaged to his girlfriend. And the best of all, they are both my age!! Oh and I can’t believe that I just watch a very crappy movie called Grace. It was seriously boring. It’s about a pregnant lady who know that her baby inside is already dead due to health problem but she insisted to carry on the term. Surprisingly the baby was alive. BUT the twisted part is the baby had to feed on blood n not milk LOL. It’s just a matter of choice of her as the mother to feed it or not. Damn I should have checked the internet rating first before buying dvds...

This is kinda weird for me... I have a cat named Garfield. I like cat in general but I’m not a person who will hug n play with the cat every chance I get LOL. Garfield is one hell of a cat. She (yes my Garfield is a she) isn’t so fond of me cos I’m not the one who feeds her every now n then. So she hardly came n lingered around my legs. But this recently, she always comes to my room n sleep at my feet when I was playing games on my lappy. Thrice in a row already! And for once I just realized that she had turned out to be quite huge for its kind LOL.

The longest 4 hours in my life!

Today, I went to PPUM and spent more than 4 hours there... It was more like half a day cos a lot of things happened during that period of time. I waited from 2pm (my appointment was supposed to be at 2) until 5-ish when suddenly a long siren went off. It was hell of a siren (the longest i ever heard). I mean I had experienced with fire drills before but they were never this long. I think it was more than a minute! But then, i didn’t know what exactly happened. After a while, it just stopped. Then, I managed to see the doc at 5-ish (the appointment was supposed to be at 2 mind u).

When I first met the doc, I was mad. Because I had to wait for 3 hours. Later, when i discovered that he’s not a Malaysian and he can’t really speak English, I almost went nuts!!! He was struggling in his explanation. It was so bad that he had to consult a Malaysian doctor to explain it to me. The result wasn’t pretty. I’ve got at least 2 torn ligaments and another complete tear! Dang... Then, as I expected, the specialist said that I need to undergo surgery. It will take at least 4-5 hours depending on who will attend me. I was speechless for a few minutes. At that time, I was thinking how bad my life was fucked up...

Then, as I asked the doc to get my MRI report in case I wanted to undergo the surgery somewhere else, he said that it’s not possible for the day. I was instructed to come n pick up the report tomorrow. Before I left, the doc wrote a memo for me to give to my future doctor. I was almost laughing when he made a lot of grammatical errors. Also not to mention, he kept cancelling his words. For crying out loud, he was scratching his head with his pen for words!! And so, there goes the longest 4 hours or so in my life... 

After five and a half years doing this degree, I've come to an end. It's a mixed feeling, glad and sad, fulfilled and empty.... Glad that I finish this whole course but sad for what I'll leave behind... The memory I've created, the people I've made acquainted with. Even if some said that a good friendship will last forever, but i still wanna argue for the other side of the coin where the bond will eventually lose its sparks... Will it ever be the same? No one knows for real... So before anything goes, I just wanna take this opportunity to pay my tribute to all the people who've made my life so meaningful for the past years. U guys are the best.
